Collectors Reserve The High Noon Shiraz 2020
At high noon each day, a cannon sounds through the Mother City. The Noon Gun on Signal Hill was originally used to announce the arrival of ships in port with a thundering sound and the peppery smell of gunpowder in the air. The High Noon Shiraz announces its arrival with prominent notes of spice and pepper.
NOSE: Aromas of fresh pine needles, whole clove clusters and star aniseed, bursting with red berries and blackcurrant.
TASTE: A medium- to full-bodied wine with ripe, red berry flavours of cherry and rich raspberry, white pepper and molasses. Lingering on the palate with blueberries on the aftertaste, the wine is best enjoyed slightly chilled.
Roast venison, beef and lamb with berry sauce, Moroccan lamb, rich casseroles, Gruyere, smoked and pecorino cheese.
